As part of the Kids in the Middle campaign, funded by the Department of Children, Schools and Families, One Plus One is providing a series of FREE innovative workshops, designed to help improve the support offered to parents experiencing conflict in their relationships. The workshops will be based on the popular OPO programme ‘My Mum And Dad Argue A Lot’ which provides information and resources on the impact of conflict on children, how to resolve conflict and what help is available to support families in these difficult times. Of key concern is the impact on children of the rising levels of conflict between parents as relationships become more strained as a result of the recession. The workshops are to be hosted between January and March 2010.

The workshops are designed to develop practitioners understanding, skills & resources in:

• The nature, causes and impact of relationship conflict
• Supporting couples experiencing conflict in their relationship
• Reducing the potentially harmful impact of conflict on children
