Platform Productions is looking for young divorcees to appear in a documentary for BBC THREE
Platform Productions would like to talk to couples or individuals in their teens or twenties who are either in the process of or have recently been divorced for a BBC THREE documentary. This could also include young married couples who are experiencing problems with their relationship but hope to avoid the option of divorce.
As a team we are known for our ability to produce sensitive, thoughtful and intelligent films, which enable people to tell their stories from the inside. The films do not involve a reporter and have no current affairs agenda. They are observational documentaries that give people the opportunity to tell their own stories in their own words. The School of Psychology at the University of Liverpool is conducting research into marital status and wellbeing. Researchers are looking to talk to talk to men and women, of all ages, about how their marital status has influenced their identity, social relationships, social activities and personal wellbeing. The research involves an informal, confidential interview, which will last for about an hour, and can be arranged at a time and place of your choice.
If you can spare fifteen minutes, there is also a short online questionnaire which looks at the relationships between psychological wellbeing and social support. The questionnaire can be accessed at http://www.ponte-carlo.co.uk/laurasurvey.html

Marriage Care are looking for people to participate in a research study: "This is a unique opportunity for everyone who has been in a relationship and understands the problems people can face to help shape new services for adults and for children. Between now and July we want to hear particularly from people whose relationship has broken down – people who may be thinking about splitting up, or are in the process of separating from a partner or have separated already, or been divorced. Denham Productions are looking for people to take part in a TV documentary called Credit Crunch Couples - about how the Credit Crunch has affected people's relationships. There's evidence that people are deciding to get married, deciding to divorce, getting pregnant and in many instances wanting to separate but having to stay together - all because of money. Blast Films are currently researching for a Channel 4 series looking into the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and the social and cultural changes that have occurred in post war Britain. The first programme will look at the dilemma faced by the Queen over her sister Margaret’s desire to marry divorcee Group Captain Townsend in 1955. They are looking for both men and women who might have gotten divorced during the 1950’s and help explain to the attitude to divorce during this period and how it has changed over the years. Many women might have faced social prejudices through no fault of their own and some people, like Townsend may have come up against difficulties when remarrying.
