Platform Productions would like to talk to couples or individuals in their teens or twenties who are either in the process of or have recently been divorced for a BBC THREE documentary. The School of Psychology at the University of Liverpool is conducting research into marital status and wellbeing. Researchers are looking to talk to talk to men and women, of all ages, about how their marital status has influenced their identity, social relationships, social activities and personal wellbeing. The research involves an informal, confidential interview, which will last for about an hour, and can be arranged at a time and place of your choice.
If you can spare fifteen minutes, there is also a short online questionnaire which looks at the relationships between psychological wellbeing and social support. The questionnaire can be accessed at http://www.ponte-carlo.co.uk/laurasurvey.html

Blast Films are currently researching for a Channel 4 series looking into the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and the social and cultural changes that have occurred in post war Britain. The first programme will look at the dilemma faced by the Queen over her sister Margaret’s desire to marry divorcee Group Captain Townsend in 1955. They are looking for both men and women who might have gotten divorced during the 1950’s and help explain to the attitude to divorce during this period and how it has changed over the years. Many women might have faced social prejudices through no fault of their own and some people, like Townsend may have come up against difficulties when remarrying.
